“SmartGrain”’s shaft grain dryers are used for drying feed and seed grain, as well as fodder and oilcrop.
The structure of a grain dryer
The product to be dried is sent to the over-the-drier storage bin, after that it is sent to the drying tower.
Hot air for drying is produced by means of a burner (for gas dryers) and is produced with the help of heat-transfer device (for diesel dryers). The burner is situated inside the channel of “hot” air and the heat-transfer device for diesel facilities is situated outside the grain-dryer.
In the shaft of the dryer there are conic roof-shaped ventilation ducts. They are closed on one side and are placed in lines in such a way that over every line of approach channel there is a range of air taps (in a checkerboard pattern). This pattern ensures the passage of air through the layers of grain.
Axial-blow blowers, in the air-discharge channels and functioning in extract mode, create the necessary air current through the product’s layer which is used for warming and cooling. This way how drying is carried out.
Moving in a downward direction of the grain dryer’s shaft, the product passes through the zones of warming and cooling to the unloading area, and then – to the discharging bin.
